Overview
The Beast In Me is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077 where Claire Russell reaches out to V for help with street races. Claire needs a driver for the races and introduces her car, named 'Beast.' There are no strict race rules, just that participants race in pairs. Claire has raced before, but her previous driver passed away during a race. The job involves four races in total, starting in the City Center district, with prize money to be split equally between V and Claire.
Racing Events
V meets Claire in her garage on Valley street in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. The first race starts on Martin Luther King Boulevard and finishes at the Wellsprings Docks. Claire will contact V for subsequent races, including one on Brooklands street in Laguna Bend, Badlands, where she demands that V use her 'Beast.' To qualify for the Watson final, V must finish in the top three in at least two races.
Final Race and Choices
V is contacted by Claire for the final qualifying race in Santo Domingo, where Claire allows V to pick the vehicle. V and Claire qualify for the final race in Watson, where V can choose to help Claire kill Sampson or just attend the race. If V refuses to help Claire, they will be sacked from the team. During the final race, Sampson experiences mechanical issues and collides with another car, begging Claire to spare his life. Despite V's attempts to intervene, Claire shoots Sampson and gifts V her 'Beast' afterward.
Claire's Background
Claire is an Afterlife bartender who participates in illegal street races. V can talk to Claire in her garage during the day, but the garage door will be closed at night. If V refuses to drive for Claire, the job will fail. Specific dialogue options must be selected to prevent Claire from killing Sampson.
Post-Quest Events
After completing the quest, Claire will send V a follow-up text within a day. V can return to Claire's garage if they agree to go back with her. Additionally, V can confront Sampson at Claire's side during The Big Race.
