Lizzie's Bar is a braindance club[1] located in Kabuki, in the Watson district of northern Night City. It is also the headquarters for the Mox.
History
This bar was owned by Elizabeth "Lizzie" Borden, a strip club owner and ex-prostitute who treated her workers fairly and defended them from violent clients. On May 13 2067, one of Lizzie's girls was brutally raped and murdered by Tyger Claws gangers. Lizzie avenged her by killing three of the assailants with an axe and displayed their bodies in front of her bar, proclaiming that the same would happen to anyone else who hurt a prostitute. That same night, Tyger Claws raided and demolished her establishment before killing Elizabeth.
These actions created an uproar of protracted riots all over Night City. Her ideological successors commemorated Borden by rebuilding her place, naming it "Lizzie's Bar," and forming the Mox, a gang that brought together those who felt threatened and oppressed, especially among sex workers and sexual minorities.[2]
Over the years, the bar was transformed into an exclusive braindance club, becoming the main source of income for the Moxes.[2][3]
Database Entry
LIZZIE'S BAR
Once a third-rate brothel and sticky dive, today Lizzie's Bar is the bread-and-butter of the Moxes. The club boasts high quality braindances to use in the comfort of specialized booths. You can also see a live show, have a drink and show off your moves on the dancefloor.[1] In 2067 Lizzie's Bar was the scene of a joytoy's horrific murder, sparkling riots among sex workers, eventually resulting in the gang known as The Mox.[1]
