Brazil, officially the Federative Republic of Brazil, is the largest country in both South America and Latin America.

At 8.5 million square kilometers and with over 211 million people, Brazil is the world's fifth-largest country by area and the sixth most populous.

In 2077 Brazil went into an agreement with SovOil for extraction rights and infrastructure within the country, however there were members of Brazil's intelligence agency that were opposed to the deal.

Notes

  • The Arasaka Corporation has its Jungle Operations School somewhere in the country.
  • In 2074, in Rio de Janeiro, an Arasaka investigation destroyed a terrorist cell that was taking place there. Arasaka soldiers killed all the terrorists responsible and ended a series of attacks the country had been facing. Such information is announced in a large screen over Night City's Arasaka Tower's elevators that displays constant achievements from the Arasaka Corporation.
  • It is revealed in the message "WATCH OUT", found during Gig: Hot Merchandise, that the Animals have a client named Wagner Nascimento in Brazil, waiting for shipments of non-trackable jailbroken guns. This is most likely a reference to the Brazilian film "Elite Squad" and its main character, Captain Nascimento, played by Wagner Moura.
  • Brazilians that appear in Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansions include Ozob Bozo, as well as the Brazilian Intelligence Agents Mark Bana, and Steven Santos.
  • Corporal William Hare was a former Militech soldier who served in Brazil, as revealed during Gig: Backs Against the Wall.
  • Severe deforestation has caused parts of the Amazon rainforest to be transformed into the Amazon Plains. Environmentalists still attempt to reforest it amid corporate resistance.
