Chiba-11 is one the poorest district within Japan, and is made up of slums and chemically polluted canals.<ref name="Shard1">[[Cyberpunk 2077]] Shard - [[CHIBA 11]]</ref>

[[Goro Takemura]], who was eventually recruited by [[Saburo Arasaka]] in person to become his personal bodyguard, was born in this district.<ref>{{RefCP|2077}}</ref>

Chiba-11 was, and potentially still is, one of the most infamous slums in Japan due to having the highest murder rates in the country. The [[Arasaka Corporation]] would sometimes pick children from this district to be soldiers.
