A fairly standard light-caliber machinegun, the M-232 is the most common squad support weapon in the U.S. Army. The Marine Corps prefers to use either the [[Military M-12 Close Assault Weapon|M-12 CAW]] or the [[M-60D Medium Machine Gun|M-60D]] medium machinegun. The M-232 uses either belted rounds fed from a drum or a standard [[Militech MK IV Assault Weapon (revised)|Mk IV]] clip.
