==Biography==
Right after the [[Mob War]] ended in [[2011]] and the [[mafia]] was cleared from much of [[Night City]], land in [[Charter Hill (2020)|Charter Hill]] was going cheap. Isabel Vargas saw an opportunity and bought a run-down apartment block, then demolished it and begun building the [[Hacienda Hotel]]. In these early days, the hotel was besieged by [[gang]]s, so Isabel hired a notable [[solo]] known as [[Andrew Scythe]] to run her security force. Scythe built it into a small army of well trained men and effectively protected the hotel's grounds.

In [[2015]], the hotel was finally finished and an opening ceremony was celebrated. By [[2020]], the Hacienda was famous around the world, and only the most wealthy could afford to stay there. The hospitality of the hotel was legendary, and the security force still led by Scythe saw to it that nothing disturbed this. The hostesses were hand-picked by Isabel herself, for grace and charm as well as beauty.

During this time, Isabel was considered one of the last truly romantic [[Spain|Spanish]] ladies, and was famous by her charm, wit and beauty. Everything in her was natural, as she had never done any cosmetic procedure. She was described as kind and compassionate, and willing to help anyone if she believed it was necessary. Isabel left the most unpleasant aspects of running the business to Andrew. While there were rumors that the both of them were lovers, Isabel and Andrew always denied it.<ref name="2020NC">{{RefCP|2020NC|166,168-170,176}}</ref>
